Abilities:
Science! - First and foremost, Darling is a researcher! He's well-rounded - he has to be with the things he's worked on - with knowledge from chemistry to biology to metaphysics. Most importantly, his primary field lies in the Paranatural; anomalies, powers, the strange and difficult to explain. Back where he used to work, they dealt in things like floppy disks that launched small objects, or a fridge that ate people if someone wasn't watching it at all times. He isn't thrown by the weird, he RELISHES it.

He has done extensive study into the links between dimensions and the objects that can affect them - so he's going to be happy as a clam in this child dimension with all kinds of fun puzzles to solve. He is very clever and will want to get to work as soon as he can helping to unravel the mysteries!
Theatricality - For a scientist, Darling is a bit of a showboater. He's pretty entertaining, actually, and did a whole bunch of videos covering various topics for the Federal Bureau of Control. He's actually got a pretty good camera presence, though, and he can be very persuasive. He makes for a very good figurehead, and is definitely skilled in disseminating distressing information with a bright and chipper demeanor. He can be a little arrogant, but he is generally pretty likable.
Hedron Resonance - After being exposed fully to an interdimensional being with a strange resonance that reacted to his thoughts and body, Darling is...well, still appearing in Flux as quite human. He's a little more addled than he used to be, maybe, but the trade off for that is that he is now extremely resistant to mind control and brainwave manipulation.
Sick Dance Moves - 'Nuff said.
